How to Order the Right Belt

Every poly chain belt is identified by a simple part number that reads pitch, length, and width. For example, 8MGT-720-36 is an 8mm pitch belt, 720mm pitch length, 36mm wide. The three common pitches are:

  • 5MGT – compact, lighter-duty drives
  • 8MGT – the workhorse pitch for most industrial applications
  • 14MGT – heavy-duty, high-torque drives

To find your belt, search the part number with no spaces, dashes, or quotes. Replacing roller chain or a V-belt drive instead? Our team can help you spec the conversion.
