Today I want to answer a couple questions we get about our standard polyester belt vs. our Kevlar corded belts. A standard v-belt is going to have polyester cords running through the belt whereas a Kevlar belt, those cords will be replaced with Kevlar cords. The real difference is when you have a back side idler pulley on say, a snow blower or a lawn mower, the Kevlar belts are going to take that abuse much better than a standard belt. Kevlar is a much stronger option in those situations where it will take that shock load. That is the difference between a standard belt and a Kevlar corded belt. |
