Cogged V-Belts Vs. Standard V-Belts

Today I want to answer a couple questions on the difference between a cogged belt and standard v-belt.  The main difference between a cogged belt and a standard v-belt is the ability that a cogged belt has to get around a small pulley and increase the amount of heat dissipation.  If your pulley is small a cogged belt allows the belt to pinch down on the pulley increasing the grip that the belt has on the pulley system.  Also we want to go over getting the proper sized belt for your pulley system.  When you purchase your belt you want to make sure that the belt us going to sit flush with the top of the pulley system.  If it does not your belt with either build up to much heat if it is too small, or fall off or shred because it is too big.  Thank you from VBeltSupply.com
